Projects

Our projects create communities, raise awareness, and provide support along the declared values of the SmallWorld Foundation.

With you, for you, about you.

Please find below the descriptions of our ongoing and planned projects.

If any of them spark your interest, new volunteers, partners, and supporters are always welcome. Let’s get in touch!

FARADAY Coworking Office & Lounge

A Faraday Cage is a space enclosed by a metal mesh designed to eliminate electromagnetic effects, protecting the objects or living beings inside from the impact of rapidly changing electric or magnetic fields. Our project, named after this concept of protection and safety from the noise and stress of the outside world, is centered around our community office. The knowledge base and research findings developed here also form an integral part of our other programs.

The Faraday community office is a truly free and open space. During opening hours (or even beyond for members), it offers a wide range of services to visitors and regular patrons. You can find the opening hours and pricing here.

Women’s Web (Női hálók)

The Women’s Web Project serves the continuously expanding circle of female members of the SmallWorld Foundation. Its primary form is to provide a home for various self-organizing women’s circles, support their activities, and most importantly: connect them with each other so they can help each other on a basis of solidarity and reciprocity.

Bethlen Square Theater

The project, led by the Association of Cultural Heritage Managers (KÖME), aims to unite institutions, organizations, and civilians in the theater’s vicinity and neighborhood through a dedicated workshop series. During these workshops, the input of local organisations like ourselves is assessed to determine the community’s needs and wants to be implemented in the refurbished theater.

Allies (Szövetségesek)

We are launching the Allies Project with the goal of supporting the lives of our neurotypical members, both individuals and groups, including those who raise neurodivergent children or live with neurodivergent relatives or partners, and those who wish to help their neurodivergent friends, colleagues to find understanding, accepting relationships, and environment.

Invisible Legion (Láthatatlan Légió)

The Invisible Legion project is a complex program (professional publications, consultation opportunities, etc.) designed to develop and disseminate a practical neurodiversity package specifically designed to provide training and consultancy for companies and businesses committed to employing neurodivergent talents.

Our newest plan is to join the Dutch Neurodiversity Foundation and organise the first Budapest celebration of the International Neurodiversity Pride Day between 10 and 17 June 2024. Do you have an event suggestion or a great idea for activities we could host? Contact us!
